Ran by work. I fartleked! It was awesome! Not! My stomach was all messed up b/c of the chocolate I had. I found a porta potty by the park. And this is the park where the 1/2 marathon starts. It is pretty cool! And there is a dog park!

I got Jillian Michaels Yoga Meltdown Level 1. I thought it was going to be more of a cardio yoga. I'm glad that it isn't. I can feel my arms are sore--but itwasn't hard moves. My only issue is I did the yoga in my basement on a mat so my wrists are sore. Next time I'll do it upstairs on the carpet.

I I have stuff missing between my vertebrae in my spin so some of the backwards camel stuff I couldn't do.

But I"m digging the dolphin (elbow plank and then you do like a downward dog only on your elbows)

Last night it was 55 and gorgeous and an off day. today was uppers 20's WINDYand misty. Towards the end I swore I was getting hit with ice.

But I felt strong up till mile 7. That was about the time I went to my car to refil my water bottle. Off to a shower cuz I am COOOOOLLLDDD!

 

Oh I ran into a lot of people running cuz I drove to the bike path. Everyone was super nice. Except the last people I ran into. We had ended our run at the same time and they asked if I was done and asked how many I ran. I said 10. I don't wanna say that they rolled their eyes but they were all--Oh we did 15. I politely replied Oh are you training for something. Then they listed like 4 marathons. Including Chicago. Sorry I'm sure Chciago is cool and everything but just cuz you pay 140 bucks doesn't make you a bad ass. I finished stretching and wished them good luck. Their bright orange jackets were bothering me.

40's..supposedly. I felt cold.

I saw a dead possum all narly looking and a dead deer. Man she was tore up! I was only sure it was a deer when I saw a hoove!

This run was part of the course I will be running for my 1/2 in April. I was not happy to see that there is a hill at the end of the course. Not cool people!

And how do people live on cow farms? Pee u!!!! stinky!

10:30 AP muah. Oh and it was in the 40's...sweet! had to shed a layer!

So this is day two of me being serious with Paleo. last few weeks I have been playing around with food and I went back to feeling like poop and being on the toliet so I"m convinced. Paleo is better for me. I did have candy. Stupid teacher meetings. but all my other meals were paleo and I didn't have any tutoring snacks.

I didn't sleep well last night. I went in the other bed to sleep and took the dogs with me. That helped. Also I was alway from this banging noise that was happening out side my bedroom window. What is up with that?

I ran after work with a friend it was fun to be able to talk. Then I got a tour of her house. Parts of it creepily reminded me of the lay out of my house so it was giving me some ideas for some make overs LOL

This one took me out. I think my head just wasn't in the game. I was thinking too much on how I'm not gonna PR this 1/2 that is coming up in 20 days (mostly b/c I was running on some of the course in the race) Everything seemed to be tight because of it. my entire right side seemed to be tense at one point. Really strange. Yoga is the plan for tomorrow. Today I will roll and try to forget about it.

Went to a fun run race today. So fun! Such a supportive group. I started infront but eventually found my groove with the 9 minute pacer and it was a nice small group. Got to talk to one of the coaches.

60 degrees today! My last mile was 8:55 Muahahahha.

I'm convinced I need to do more speed work now. I feel awesome!

Drove to the bike path. They extended it a little south. I don't know how far b/c there was this huge lake going over the path about 4 miles in so I turned around and went back to my car.

Here is the run down. I had a banana before I left the house. In my car I had some chia seeds and water. Ran 8 miles. Stopped at my car for a Froze bar (freebie from a race--but it was ymmy) and more chia seeds and a swig of powerade.

I was feeling really good but noticed I was running too fast (told myself no walking today) But my legs wouldn't listen so at about mile 9.75 I walked for a quater mile b/c the ITB stared to hurt. I stretched at mile 10 and felt fine for the rest.

I did take off my shoes when I had .5 left to go. It was too cold for that so I put them back on. But for the minute they were off my feet felt great (they seem to get charlie horses in the arch)

Very pleased with this run. so much so that I will list my splits

Cross training! I did Jillian KickBoxing and Yoga Meltdown Level 2. Level 2 has too many poses I can't do but Level 1 kept skipping for some reason now. Grrr.

Any who my legs are now really tired.

at any rate. I have a question.

So I found a new marathon. More expensive, but three weeks earlier. Can I do it?

I'm finding I'm just not that excited about South Bend. Maybe it is b/c I didn' tdo it last year?

Is there a way to set up garmin to yell at you to go progressively faster so that you can make a timed goal for a certain distance? I don't want to be at consistant 10's cuz I know I start out at 11 and then progressively get faster.

Or is there something on the internet that can give me my splits that I would have to get to make a time goal? I'll just write it down if I need to.
