so no tutoring this week so naturally my runs get all messed with. I hsould just go run 3 right now...hmmm

at any rate. I have a question.

So I found a new marathon. More expensive, but three weeks earlier. Can I do it?

I'm finding I'm just not that excited about South Bend. Maybe it is b/c I didn' tdo it last year?

I don't think I"m gonna do it at all. I"m gonna be a 1/2 marathoner.

That's how I feel. Which is closer to you, South Bend or Schaumburg?

Are you still planning on doing the full in June?

From april27 on Sat, Mar 26, 2011 at 10:25:01 from 99.188.251.180

I think they are about the same. Schaumberg maybe farther but I can stay at my parents house.

I dunno. I have to decide by wednesday. After that the price goes up. AFter yesterdays run I'm thinking no. I"m just happy at the 1/2 marathon distance. I just don't see me running for 3-4 hours on a saturday!

I like the 1/2 distance, too. It's much more manageable.

I thought for a moment I might sign up for the Schaumburg 1/2, but I have a 10K down here that I want to do that weekend. Boo. We should meet up at a half sometime soon (maybe in the fall?)

I like the sound of that. Oak Brook was nice last year. and I think Naperville is having one in Sept too.

oh and valpo has a november one. 1/2 training is much more managable. I don't feel so distraught if I move around runs or whatever.

I have to say though I'm nervous about my 1/2 next weekend. I wanted to be under 2 hours but I just don't think I ran enough miles. When I ran Madison 2 years ago I had like 100+ miles in for the month and a few more long runs. I guess I will happen if it happens.

Have you ever ran Palos Heights (i think it is in May)

From Tracy on Sat, Mar 26, 2011 at 10:52:00 from 173.23.75.249

Just go out and run it and try not to walk. Don't be nervous. You can go the distance for sure!

And if you don't get under 2 hours, no big deal. You'll do another one soon!

Yes you are right Tracey. When I wasn't so concerned about time races were fun and so was training!
