Is there a way to set up garmin to yell at you to go progressively faster so that you can make a timed goal for a certain distance? I don't want to be at consistant 10's cuz I know I start out at 11 and then progressively get faster.

Or is there something on the internet that can give me my splits that I would have to get to make a time goal? I'll just write it down if I need to.

10:45 AP, cold again.

I think you can have a "virtual running partner" and set a time goal for that and you are trying to beat that person by the end. so I think you could see how far you are behind that person and that you need to run faster? OR you could set up a workout with a warm-up where you could run 1-2 miles before you were expected to be in the 10's. there's probably other things I don't know about.... let me know if there is!

There's a pace calculator. It also allows you to put in a pace fade allowance.

Do you still have your garmin manual? Nicole's got some good ideas. Those would probably be good for you.

Good luck Saturday!

Nicole--I know how to do the virtual partner. I"m just not sure I want to put all that pressure on myself. This won't be the last half marathon and I just don't feel super prepared for a sub 2. We shall see what unfolds on Sunday!
