10:30 AP muah. Oh and it was in the 40's...sweet! had to shed a layer!

So this is day two of me being serious with Paleo. last few weeks I have been playing around with food and I went back to feeling like poop and being on the toliet so I"m convinced. Paleo is better for me. I did have candy. Stupid teacher meetings. but all my other meals were paleo and I didn't have any tutoring snacks.

nice run.

my diet is mostly paleo, but without meat (which can make things tricky at times). but i will tell you, i feel a ton better without starches. good luck with it.

I don't have any advice about this Paleo stuff. I have a questionable diet and I have the palate of a 6 year old. I'm pretty sure that starches are all I eat.

But good run.

Tracy--so do I! which is why I have such stomach/cranky/exhausted issues.

Every time I see someone talking about the Paleo diet, I can't help but think that our Paleolithic ancestors weren't exactly known for a long healthy life span :)

But I get it. Sounds a lot like South Beach, except I'd be undone by the lack of dairy (right, no dairy?).

I see your point. yes no dairy (but I may still eat cheese) Don't get me wrong. I won't be all strict about it. I just noticed after some self done tests that I feel better on it.

Weren't our ancestors killed in battle? I thought paleo nixed a lot of the cancers and other bad stuff

I know almost nothing about the diet, but I like to turn to Wikipedia at a time like that. That's because I know Wikipedia is always right (wink). It does elaborate on the controversy behind that diet, and seems a little biased against Paleo as just another fad diet.

I can see phasing out refined sugars and preservatives and all the stuff that seems to be the staple of our modern diet. I just can't see eliminating an entire food group. But I experience no problems with dairy. I know a lot of people who do. So who am I to say anything, right?

I also know that I would never be able to eliminate grains. I know they are the cause of my belly fat and all, but I like the way they taste :)

From april27 on Wed, Mar 09, 2011 at 12:20:02 from 165.138.243.1

I 100% agree! That is why I didn't like adkins. Mostly b/c i love my fruits and veggies. I mean who calls fruits bad?

Any who--some people are lactose intolerant. I think I'm intolerant to grains. Don't get me wrong. I love them! But I pay for them later. I have been messing with my foods for a while now to see what works. This seems too.

Can't say I will never have another piece of bread...but I'll just try not to think about it.

That's pretty good. And you're right, I don't get it. But that's because I don't really know what it is and am too lazy right now to read the links that he has posted under "learn more." Maybe when I'm not "working" I'll look at it.
