questions going through my head when the alarm went off...and actually I was asking myself them last night when I was preparing for my long run (getting my fuel belt together and clothes out)
1. Why am I doing these long runs? 2. The only races I have are 5k's 3. The very earliest long race I would have is maybe a 10 miler in April 4. Why not take a break? 5. what is the point?
So I skipped my long run today. I have been slacking on weights so I did
2 sets of 15 nose breakers 24 lbs 3 sets of 13 bench press 65 lbs 50 crunches on the ball 2 sets of 15 hammer curls per arm 12 lbs (I need to get some heavier dumbells)
The closer it comes to decision time about the full marathon the less I want to run. So that means I'm not ready to do it right? Or should I just jump in feet first? My brother isn't running. he said he will start back up again when he moves back to Illinois (Oct). I know that I have to think in terms of that I will be on my own. I know my SO will be there but he will be at the sidelines cheering...and not running.
