6:00am Pace 11:10 38 degrees...brrrrr

I was slow moving today...I was very sore from work over the weekend...I took a hot bath last night and a cold shower after my run this morning (knees were yech) just soreness..and my hammies were tight...again...grrr...so I stretched really well after my run.

8:30am Pace 10:13 60 degrees

Too chilly in the a.m to run..I did some reading and then ran. I icy hot my knees last night and they felt like new this morning. Till about mile 3ish...there were hard hills...so i'm icy hotting again...any one know of any other icy hot like product that doesn't stink up the whole house?

I ran across the street at a 6:30 pace--i felt like a gazelle--a dying gazelle but still gazelle like. Atleast now I know my legs can move that fast...now I just have to get my lungs to agree with the pace and get my legs conditioned to keep that pace up! Okay I know I"m dreaming!

Oh yeah running seemed easier when I was concentrating on picking up my feet--but agin then they started moving faster buy my lungs were not in agreement..here are my splits

1-10:20

2-10:19

3-10:05 (surprising b/c of hills)

4-10:32

About the Madison Half...turns out my folks may or may not be able to watch the three dogs for the weekend if we went up there...so I have to find others to watch them or take them to the usual kennel(which only sucks b/c it is a little further south and we will be traveling north)

and lastly I need to come up with a training plan...grrr...i was going to use runners world's thing again but they only have me running 3 days aweek and I would like to stay at bare minimum 4 days...

Happy running!

I slept an extra hour today...Hoping that would make me less cranky...We shall see...maybe I do need 8-9 hours of sleep.

Or my mother and I were talking and she thinks it is my diet. Since moving in with my boyfriend cheese and soda (among other things) were added to my diet. When i lived alone I told myself I couldn't afford those things...Well my boyfriend thinks you can't live with out soda.

This week I"m going to start tracking what I eat and see where the trend lies. Today I cut cheese out of my sandwich. I know my mood swings won't change in one day but we did run out of cheese slices today so it seems super convenient to start today.

Today I ate Cherrios and milk and Cranapple juice.

for a snack I packed-a cinnamon raison bagel with cream cheese

For lunch I packed a turkey sandwich on wheat bread with mayo, Doritos, pear, coke

dinner-peanut butter and jelly sandwich and a chocolate chip cookie, and water.

I drink water all day long and try to stick to one coke/mt dew a day rule but this one lecture I have is sooo boring.

i hope i just have to cut out cheese and not coke...or just limit my caffeine to days when i'm in my morning class on mondays and wednesdays.

today I did pushups and a variety of ab exercises

7am Pace 10:51 68 degrees

both legs hurt today--phantom shin pain was back for the firs 1.5 miles. I started yelling at my brain to ignore my stupid legs b/c we were going to run with or with out them. I know it sounds ridiculous...but whatever...no one could hear me except for my brain which almost automatically relieved some of the pain...it went to the knees after tht...which is a little more tolerable than both shins hurting. any who..i did it...

breakfast-cherrios, banana, and milk

I'll update through the day what else I eat...

update-lunch pb and j carrots, and dorritos, and a coke (my one for the day)

dinner-steak, sweet potato, cranapple juice

I'm going grocery shopping tomorrow...so my list should look better after tomorrow!
