both legs hurt today--phantom shin pain was back for the firs 1.5 miles. I started yelling at my brain to ignore my stupid legs b/c we were going to run with or with out them. I know it sounds ridiculous...but whatever...no one could hear me except for my brain which almost automatically relieved some of the pain...it went to the knees after tht...which is a little more tolerable than both shins hurting. any who..i did it...

breakfast-cherrios, banana, and milk

I'll update through the day what else I eat...

update-lunch pb and j carrots, and dorritos, and a coke (my one for the day)

dinner-steak, sweet potato, cranapple juice

I'm going grocery shopping tomorrow...so my list should look better after tomorrow!

Good job hanging in there with some little aches an pains. It sounds like you're learning when you can tough it out and when you should take a break. Just be careful not to push yourself too far if something hurts! My shins bug me once in a while and they always seem to calm down after running a good hill. If suddenly that didn't work for some reason, I'd be taking a break for sure.

I did walk a few times but then got mad at myself.

I want to sign up for a 1/2 in August but am nervous that the day of the race I will experience all this annoying phantom pain. It would be such a waist to drive all that way for nothing!
