I did Jillian Michaels Back Side work out today. I could really feel it in my IT band
I think Jillian's exercises in general are very runner friendly. Today i realize we were doing strides (minus the skipping) kinda cool!

That is interesting. On the Biggest Loser show she has been known to verbalize how much she hates running herself!

I like your running goal for this year (and your food goals). Have you signed up for a 1/2 yet?

Kelli--Really? Well I don't know if she does it on purpose but just all the looking around at Running Friendly exercises I have noticed a lot ofhers are runner friendly.

So far the process has taken a couple of months. I took an entire week completely off from running. But that was only the start of the recovery. I spent the next 5 weeks building my mileage back up slowly to 50 miles, which was just last week. This week I've cut back again and will probably not get to 40 miles for the week. Plus I've kept my pace very easy for most of these miles. I've been stretching everyday. Not over stretching, just consistent light stretching of the achilles and foot.
So, I wasn't following a recovery plan or anything, I just made sure not to over do it without completely stopping. I feel like my body heals more quickly if I stress it just enough to add strength without going over the edge. It's okay if it hurts a little.
After 8 weeks of caution, I'm just now starting feel ready for a higher mileage buildup.
