Today for my meals

Breakfast-Cherrios, banana, cranapple juice, vitamins

Lunch and dinner I packed (i'm in school all day)

Turkey and mayo sandwich, green peppers, cucumber slices, 2 apples, Bagel with cream cheese, mountain dew, lots of water, vanilla yogurt with granola

If I get hungry i will go to the salad bar and get some salad.

So how am I doing so far? Any better than last week?

And Saturday I am running my first 5k with my brother...Friday night we are having a BBQ for my mom's 50th. I am torn between drinking more than a few and just running the 5k or just having a drink or two and running the 5K all out. I mean I don't have anything to prove. My brother says he hasn't ran in months so it is hard to say what his pace will be. I know why he actually trains he can run a 7 minute mile. So we shall see how this all turns out!

Oh yeah and one other thing--I got The Stick last night...so far so good (hammies keep tying up in knots)

I say just have a couple and go all out. You don't have anything to prove, but I say see what you got!

Yes, the food looks much better than last week. Way to add the veggies. I would also encourage you to lose the Mountain Dew, but I'm not your mother and you can do what you want.

Good luck with the 5K. I'm with Tracy. See what you've got! And really, want do you have to prove with drinking more than a couple?

You are going to LOVE the Stick! I love mine. I have the small travel model.

I don't care for spirits, but I do love a glass or two of good wine, sometimes a beer w/ Mexican or BBQ. However, I know myself, and I know I do not clear it quickly from my body, so I usually only have some the night before a rest day. Or I will have very little, just a sip or two of DH's glass. And, as Mireille Guiliano says (you have to read this with a French accent): "Always, always, always! with food." http://www.mireilleguiliano.com/ If it were me, I would probably plan to have a glass at the party and do the 5K purely as a "fun run." Wow, I'm older than your mother. Let's not think about it. ;)

I only had 1/2 the mountain dew today...I'm slowing working it out. otherwise horrible headaches will appear and it will just force me towards them again. Yesterday was a bad soda day but we won't talk about that.

Sno-I was dissappointed..the LRS didn't have the travel one. Instead I got the yellow one. They lady said that was the one for distance and it was smaller than the blue one so I bought it. I like how it feels. I'm sure it will be come part of my routine!

I use to drink a lot! Like every weekend and during the week. Now I just drink at parties (which we don't go often too) or holidays. Not to bad.

I think I will play the race by ear. If I feel like speedy gonzalez then I will run fast! and if not I will be okay with usual run.

Carolyn--I have to keep up with my brothers drinking! LOL I"m kidding. These days he could drink me under the table. We rarely have beer in the house anymore. a few years ago that was a staple in my fridge! LOL
