PR my 5k time. But maybe for now I should shoot for under 30 minutes.

Stay injury free and see where that takes me.

I have a husband who is wonderful, three beautiful dogs,  I'm a teacher, and I'm a runner. Life is good.

School day--so I did weights when I got home. Lookst like I'm going to have to run Sun, Tues, Thurs, Fri, and Sat. I was trying to keep one day off of running to sleep in or whatever. I think I will be easy on myself...or some nights I may get out of my wednesday class early and be able to run

Here is what I did for weights

Bench press 65 lbs 3 sets of 10

3 sets of 15 each side of lunges

1 set of 15 for cross over lunges

60 crunches on the ball

2 sets of 30 seconds regular plank

1 set each side 45 seconds side planks

Nice cross training... I always find it hard to fit weights into my routine.

Like the exercises. We do planks with XC. We all hate them, but we feel good when they're done. Once you get your regular planks down pat, there are lots of ways to make them more difficult by including movement with them. Again, I totally hate them, but they do strengthen my core!

I'm taking advantage of my lower miles and hope that I will keep it up once I build up my miles again!
