I'm not feeling well today--I may take the day off...I don't have work or school today so it may just end up being a late running day. I did something to my leg last night at work so it is sort of pinching. Weird, but i"m going to stick it and hope for the best.

Goals for this month--my friend is really into weights and is going to write me up a plan, in turn I'm going to write her up a running plan. She is more into fat burning so that will be weird since I don't care about that and I just like to run the distances.

For this month I'm going to rebuild miles, add in strength training, and figure out my schedule with school and all that fun stuff. 2 days a week I have to be at school a 7:45--which isn't too early but I have to wake up at 6. Which is the time I usually go for a run--so either M, W are going to be my off days or I'm going to be up pretty early on those days. Oh decisions!

Maybe you just need a good rest today. I hope your leg is okay.

Good luck with figuring out the schedule. I've opted for the getting up really early, but it's a constant struggle.

Do you have a break later those early days when you can run? I actually think it is good for us to mix up the times a little bit, and not always run morning or afternoon. Good luck with your new training! It will be fun to see what your strength workout looks like!

Rest days are good!

I know you'll get it all figured out. And of course, you can tweak everything on your schedule as you go along. It's exciting to begin a new year, imo. I always go by the Jewish New Year myself. ;)

Sno-What is the Jewish New Year?

Well, I'm thinking about doing a run after my Wednesday night class instead of waking up early on Wednesdays. It will be at about 8pm so that will be different as far as I hope I can sleep later! but you guys are right--switching it up a bit is a good idea!

Rosh Hashana. The Jewish Calendar always starts in the fall. 9/18 (at sundown) this year.

I heart late day running. Waking up super-crazy-early is definitely not my cup of tea.

Well, whatever you opt for, it'll go well!

Like the goals. As you're doing your strength-training workouts, please post so I can steal them!

Tracy--will do...so far yesterday I did 3 sets of 10 calf raises (on the stairs)

I did lunges in the backyard--who knows how many.

I got bored after that. LOL
