I am suppose to be running....9 miles today...but I don't feel like it...If I don't get out there soon I will lose my window of opportunity. Why am I Like this? All gun ho and then like today I'm like foregt it!

I just think I could be doing homework (I do have a project) or cleaning blah blah blah...it is 59 degrees out...could that be it? Too cool outside?

I know from experience that if I do run a long run in this mood it will turn out horribley. So then I thought about just a short 5 miler (maybe it would turn into a 9?) sigh....

It could be my time crunch too...I hate rushing a run...

UPDATE--I read some of your blogs from yesterday...Rattletrap's got to me...he was watching people run from the hospital. ...I can just imagine his knee all bruised with a sad face...Then I also realized I ran 98 miles last month...soooo I can't let that be my record? So maybe my cool thing for my bday will be to run 100+miles for July...and get some new shoes...LOL

So I ran...yippeee...I did get out a little later than planned, my stomach was upset so I had to get rid of that first. The first 2.5 miles stunk b/c my legs and my feet felt so tight. Once I got to the bike trail I stretched and ran the rest. My Garmin was acting up. At some points it said I was running a 7:30 or an 8 mile. Um not possible...Only b/c I felt like I was barely running (due to the pains I was having).

For 2 miles it rained and I loved it. Except I was wearing contacts (I hate glasses in the rain) and rain kept pooling in my eyes so I had to keep squeezing my eyelids to squeegy the water out. (did I spell squeegy right?)

Last 1.5 miles my stomach issues came back and I either had to puke or go number two. So I hurried home and not a moment too soon b/c I had to run to the bathroom...

All in all my average pace was about 10:30. I figure that is about right since the frist 3 miles were horrid. The last 6 I ran a comfy 9:30 to 9:50 pace.

Today I tried Dots for fuel. Not such a great idea

Hope you get out there; it will be worth it!

You sure had a rough time of it today, but you did it! Way to tough it out.

For the record, 59 degrees is nowhere near too cold.

Incidentally, you were on pace for a serious half-marathon PR.

Auntieem--it was worth it...I thought about it most of the day and glad I pushed myself to go. I posted it on my Facebook and a friend said " I drove 9 miles" LOL

Carolyn--yes it is when last week it was in teh 90's!

Sasha-thank you for posting! And I never thought about that! How exciting! Madison 1/2 here I come!
