Day 4 of running in a row.

I don't like it. I think I like my breaks in between 2 or 3 days of running.

This run was the best of the week. My knees hurt a little but I had a little conversation with my legs and they felt okay. 10:30ish pace.

I have a garmin question--Has anyone had problems sometimes witht he bezel not working? I don't know how many times I hit the training button today and it didn't want to do anything. It would go to history or the time. When I finally got it to work I change the bezel sensitivity to high (it was at medium). I'll see if that helps tomorrow. I had the same problem yesterday!

So I know I'm in a lot of classes but I also have a lot of commutting time. So I burned my coffee break spanish lessons from Itunes. It is a cool and free podcast. I have taken spanish classes in college and highschool. the way they teach spanish is not very friendly to actually learning the language. This podcast is less about learning words and grammer but more about conversation and then learning the grammar. It is better to learn a language in this manner than in vocab and grammar in isolation. (see my education classes are paying off)

Any who my school that I'm at does not have a language department. Eventually I would like to get my Masters in education with spanish or however it maybe called.

Well enough of that. Happy running!

Good job with the four days in a row! Your mind will take a while to get used to it; just keep it up.

Do you listen to the podcast while you run? I like to listen to Spanish CDs while I'm on long car trips alone.

You say you don't like running 4 days in a row, but yet this was your best run of the week. Like auntieem said, just stick with it and you'll get used to it.

I think that when you're increasing your days/week like you're doing, you should keep all your runs at a relatively easy pace.

aunt-Well I was going to listen to it. My adapter for my ipod to the truck froze over the winter, so I was trying to burn the c-ds. They didn't work in my truck. I must have did it wrong b/c my cd player will played burned discs.

And I don't listen to anything but nature when I run. I use to but now I find the ipod annoying. I do listen to spanish music/radio when I"m in the car along though. I also like to watch movies that were translated to spanish. I think their telenovelas or soaps are much better than american ones.

Carolyn--good point. I didn't think of that--i just kept thinking about my three bad runs. I'm such a pessimist. I suppose I"m down b/c last week I did one speed work session and I felt like the rest of my runs were speedier. This week I feel like a slug--did I over do it last week and am now paying for it this week?

I should just stop my whining and be happy that I got out there at all this week!
