And then it was bright!

5:30am--oh yes...I was up that early...yellow dog couldn't sleep and kept pacing! 38 degrees

I felt like such a dorkus with all my gear and clothes this morning. I had my fuel belt, jacket, a new  reflective sash that I bought when I got my head lamp. Which I got last night and I LOVE IT!! I can see now! and I can run whenever and whereever I want--with or with out street lights! People can see me! I like the sash b/c now I even reflect from the back so people can see me no matter what.

On a more depressing note--it was not hard at all to do an easy pace...in fact it was hard to keep up with it. I feel exhausted. I was so hungry! still my average pace wa s11:07...not too bad...but it felt awful. it is funny b/c i ran in 4 minutes slower than my first 1/2 marathon..no wonder I felt like crap...I think running slow just makes for a crappy day..but I couldn't help it...my legs wouldn't move. maybe I should bring sandwiches on my long runs from now on...

Don't worry about looking like a dork. I am Dork Central when I run, with my reflective vest and headlamp, but I don't care.

Do you think you felt crappy because you ran slowly or did you run slowly because you felt crappy? I think you'll feel better tomorrow because you didn't run too fast today.

I think the first one--i felt great when I woke up...I was pumped to run! but then my form fell apart probably after about 10 miles...I felt all heavy...I was running slow before that but felt okay about it...maybe more upper body strength exercises?

Hey, great job getting out early for 13 miles! Nice run!
