It was hard to wake up this morning at 6am...so i thought I would give myself some time to wake up. So I ate breakfast, did some homework, walked the dogs and was out the door by 8..Well apparently this was the wrong thing to do--first people are driving their kids to school so the driving is ridiculous. Second-I'm more awake and therefore think more and therefore my phantom pains came back. Then my mom called on the phone and this one leg pain twinge got worse. I'm going to call that leg pain from now on "mom" LOL any who..I was surprised I ran as far as I did (I wanted to do my usual 4.75)

I think tomorrow I will do a 3 miler b/c I would like to do a 6 miler maybe on Thursday or Friday. Or maybe tomorrow I will cross train...oh wait...my garmin is suppose to come today...i shall have to run! LOL!

So are you saying it's better to run when you're not so awake and your body doesn't really realize what you're doing?

I hope your Garmin comes today. Have fun with it!

Yay for the new Garmin coming! What color did you order? I have the green.

Re the mom pain -- family of origin is everything!! PM me if you ever want to talk about it. :)

Re waking up - that's so funny. One of my mantras when the alarm goes off is, "it won't be any easier 20 minutes from now." And I hate running when the school buses are out. Good job on the run and I hope you get to at least have a little one tonight!

I always do best when I just get up and go. It's weird, but I think I run faster when I dont feel rushed like I usually am when I hit the snooze button too many times.

Carolyn-that is exactly what I"m saying...I can trick myself if i'm still sleepy! LOL

Sno-I'm going to use that mantra tomorrow. I got the black one. Today I was thinking -man I should have gottne the green! Can you get a different wrist strap for it?

And my mom's 50th bday is coming up and the whole family is being ridiculous about it. I'm sure that is bringing up some old bad feelings as well. My boyfriend is being supportive though so that is helping.

Rattletrap-I completely relate to running better when not rushed. Which is why I give myself an extra 1/2 an hour more the days I need to be at school in the morning--just in case i run into some lazy running!
