I wish there was a button for a hard slow run. B/c this was not an easy run. I was soooo cold. I just could not warm up. I wanted to run 10 but made a turn and I guess I cut more from the run than I thought I was going to be. But it turned out well b/c my knee again was killing me. Like it was frozen. I guess that is the best way to describe it. I think I' going to tear apart these fleece pants I have. They are huge. So I will cut off the legs to make them short (and I will have to take them in quite a bit) I will use the rest of the legs to make knee sleeves and hopefully that will work.

Last night I paid for the South Bend FULL marathon for June. It ends in the Notre Dame stadium. My brother is suppose to do it with me. He hasn't been able to run lately so hopefully after his work busy season is over he will have more time to run.

Well I'm going to go hope in the shower b/c I am still so very cold!

Yikes! That is cold. I hope you get all thawed out and warmed up, especially the knee.

Congratulations on registering for the marathon. Will this be your first marathon?

Carolyn--yes this will be my first. If all goes well maybe I will run the Chicago one in the fall.

Metcalf-signing up for it was the major motivator for getting out there this morning!

Yay! First marathon! I thought you were going to do the Indianapolis one.

And brrrrrrr...did it warm up a little today?

From Smooth on Fri, Dec 18, 2009 at 00:26:26 from 174.23.217.47

BRRR!!! I hear ya on the "easy" run. Nothin' easy about running in that freezing cold. Hope your knee got unthawed. Do you wear tights? Running tights really helps.

CONGRATS for signing up South Bend! I am so excited for you for your first marathon! Sounds COOL to finish in the Notre Dame stadium. GOOD LUCK with training. You're doing awesome!

Tracy- I"m running the Indy Mini in May. There is only a 1/2 option with that one...well that is what I signed up for atleast.

Smooth-I love how positive you are. I lurk on your blog a lot for positive talk! Thanks for being around!
