6am--HOT! 71 DEGREES and 97% humidity...Okay so it isn't hot but it is sticky!

I used the stick and planked and stretched slightly before I headed out with water...Very good run...very slow but good.

P.S. I just realized that there is still a week left of June and I'm already over the mileage I had in May....I hope I'm not adding too much too fast! (I"m thinking next month I will be at 100 for the month...I may get to 80 this month...whew!

97% humidity!!! Blech. Sounds very sticky, but good for you for getting out there anyway. It sounds like you are making great progress with your running. I love your long-term goal. I'm 42, which I think it quite a bit older than you, but I share that goal myself ;).

That's great that you're adding mileage. A lot of people use the 10% rule. If you're building mileage, each week add 10% of the last week. I'm too lazy to calculate, but I think you're doing about that, maybe a little more, but still not adding crazy mileage too soon. You're doing great!

I didn't think it was too much...but just checking...I got in 25 miles last week...yippeee!

Anita--it is strange to think that I could still be running at 80-but I hope I age gracefully so that can happen!

Congrats on the sneaky mileage PR! Slow and consistent -- you'll be so acclimated to heat pretty soon.

Nice mileage. Way to go :)
