Perfect day weather wise to go for a run. But my shins were killing me. I might as well of walked the whole darn thing. This wouldn't be so bad if I knew what was causing all of this. The only thing I can think of is that I'm stomping at the beginning of my run sometimes. But how do I stop this? I tried concentrating but then it got worse. I don't sound like a hurd of elephants, but my footfall is louder than usual. ChiRunning says to pretend you are running in sand--then I tend to run on tip toes (which doesn't hurt btw) but I wouldn't be able to keep that up.
I'm going to go shoe shopping tonight b/c I think it is about time for shoes and I would like to get them broken in before the 1/2 in August. Which is another thing I'm worried about!! That if my legs and feet are all crampy during my race! I only run 1-2 races a year and that would be devastating to have a bad race...BLAH! Sorry for the rambling. Happy Running :) |
