Not a good start to the week! My objective was to run 9-10 miles today. I drove a little south (5-6 miles) so I could run in the country and get a change of scenery. Wrong choice!

Any who my shins HURT! but when they finally stopped hurting (abuot 2 miles into it) I had to go number 2 sooooo bad! I could barely run b/c when I would run I wuold have to go that much more. And I say I was in the country but one side of the street was corn fields and the other is houses (huge development areas around here) so there is no way I could go on the sneak. I finally got back to my truck and drove home in such stomach pain.

Finally got relief when I got home. I shall do my long run on Wednesday now. That will teach me for trying to move my schedule around this week!

How was everyones Fourth? I went to Indy--but hardly saw fireworks. The City fireworks were cancelled so we just watched what we could from the garage. It rained all day! But all in all I had a really good time. The more my boyfriends uncle's had to drink the more they bugged him about why he hadn't asked me to marry him yet. Which was funny to a point, because usually I get bombarded with the marriage and baby questions. I tried to tell him hey we are happy right now and with school and blah blah blah it just isn't the right time...but he just kept going on and on...LOL

Too bad about the failed experiment, but you should feel great about being adventuresome and trying new things! :) Next time you are planning, you'll be more prepared because of the questions this experience will raise for you. Better runs are coming!

We had stay-home 4th. There are so many displays around us we can see from the porch. But mostly, it's just not my favorite kind of holiday -too noisy. At 10:30 I put earplugs in and went to sleep.

Sorry about your run! You can only plan so much.

We escaped to the mountains for a noise free 4th. I am like a dog and like to crawl under the bed when there are bomb sounds.

Sorry to hear about the tummy troubles, but good on ya' for trying something new.

We stayed home for the 4th. Our little suburb (or is it an exurb) likes to try to be a small town sometimes. So they had a 5K race (which I ran), a parade (which I saw a bit of since it started about the same place as the race, and fireworks in the evening, which my family went to.

Sno and Auntieem--running away to the mountains sounds fantastic. I like fireworks I just hate crowds so it was fine by me that we didn't have to go into the city. I guess we were goign to watch them from a parking garage that my b/f's aunt has access to. So that would not have been so bad.

Carolyn-A race on the fourth? How fun! I should sign up for a July race--i believe I may still have time..HMMMM
