6:30am run 31 degrees

I experimented today with clothes. I have been a little to warm with my jacket mid run. Today I ran with my breath thermo and no jacket and fleece lined pants. It was cold at first and I wouldn't do it if it was windy but it was actually quit comfy. I think I"m getting my stride back for running after being sick

I"m going to try not to look to much over my monthy mileage b/c it is sad! As long as I don't get sick I should haven't any problems being back over 100 miles for december!

In othernews, we went to my SO's father's girlfriends house (did ya get that?). I love her daughter. She is only 3 years older than me and she is a riot. She runs too. So I found her on facebook. Her brother was in from New York with his wife and he is a runner to. I was a little put out by him (first time meeting him) b/c he was like, "What level of a runner are you?" And when I said "1/2 marathoner" he seemed to lose interest. But then I got him back later at dinner when I asked if he had read "Born to Run". He hadn't even heard of it! How can he call himself a marathoner? LOL...Well I was going to say I was going to recommend this site to the sister but if she see me ranting about her brother we may stop being friends. hahaha...but any who they invited me to run the Turkey Trot with them next year. And I htink she she trying to convince me to do a triathalon with her next summer. I got the biking and running down but where could I practice the swim? At any rate they are both very nice and it was nice to spend the holiday with them. Honestly she would be my first running friend....I hope to run some races with her in the future (we live about an hour from each other so training runs aren't really an option)

And in more news--I'm looking into a marathon/or 1/2 marathon (depending on if I like marathons) in Hawaii for when we go in 2011...I found one that is in June and seems to be relatively flat and is out and back.

Happy Blogging!

Congratulations on finding some runners in your family. There are no runners at all in my family. They think I am crazy.

Yes I suppose I should start calling them family since I"m pretty sure that my FIL will stay with their mom for a while...LOL

That was a NICE early cool run! Good to experiment with layering when the temp gets colder. Sounds like you found someone close to your age to share "running stuff" with. I've always wanted to run the marathon in Hawaii. My sister has a house situated along the course. One of these days I might just run it. I've heard it's pretty warm even in Jan. Have fun running!

Smooth--man you need to jump on that opportunity or I will! LOL
