I used the stick this morning on my legs before my run. I would say that if I had done my quads as well I would have been fine. but where the muscle attaches to the knee from the quad is where I was having some tightness. It could also be that it was a little too chilly to wear shorts. But last few days I wore pants and felt to hot. Go figure.

My run had lots of hills...I got faster as the run progressed...Somedays I just wish I could start out at a 10 min mile and end with a 8minute one...instead I go from 11 to about 10 to 9:30...beggers can't be choosers I suppose.

I am still researching food...yu have been super helpful with suggestions. Getting rid of eatin one slice of cheese everyday on my sandwich has really helped eleviate my mood swings...still working out some other kinks in the diet.

What sports drinks do you all drink? I drink powrade but would like to cut back on the sugar (has muchhhh less than gatorade). I drink the advanced electrolyte system.

I'm having some technical difficulties downloading my run today. I may have to sit here with some knitting. I'm pretty sure most of my homework is done for the week so I can dawdle a little today. Yippee!

Any who I'm chilled-going to go for a hot shower! My fav part of a run!

I drink G2. I like that. Much less sugar than Gatorade.

Don't worry about your pace--you are doing well. The faster paces will come as your body keeps adjusting to more mileage. It sounds like this was a good progression run and a good distance! Nice job!

I really just drink water most of the time. G2 occasionally.

I second what Tracy said about your pace. Just keep running consistently and you'll get faster. I know I did.

I suppose I'm just inpatient!

Is a progression run one where you start slow and end faster?

Yep, that's what a progression run is. My workout plan often has progression runs that will say something like 10 miles easy with the last 10 minutes moderate (I think that was yesterday's workout). As the training cycle progresses, the amount of moderate (or sometimes even fast) at the end increases.

Would that include those fast miles Sno talks about?
