6:00am 75 degrees 90% humidity.

I woke up at 5:30 to beat the heat. It is suppose to be 100 something with the heat index. I ran in a new pair of shorts today from target (champion). I like them but I think they would be too short for a longer run. They creep up quite a bit.

I had to run by the park today to refill my water bottle and pour some more on my head...very hot...

average pace: 10:19

On another note...my birthday is coming up in September and a few years ago I had decided every year I would do something different (semi big). Last year I ran my first 1/2, one year I went sky diving. You get the picture. I'm having a hard time deciding what to do this year. Any ideas? Don't say run a marathon. I think that will be my thing for next year. I have no time to train for one this year...but I will next...

Nice job running in the heat! We have the opposite: cold again. When will they get the weather right?

Backpacking trip for your birthday maybe?

I don't know but I"m tired of our weatherpeople. Last night the headline was, "Next, when will we see relief from this heat?" But I swear two weeks ago they were wondering where summer was. I'm like yeesh!

Backpacking--I like the sound of that. I shall have to try to find something close...
