PR my 5k time. But maybe for now I should shoot for under 30 minutes.

Stay injury free and see where that takes me.

I have a husband who is wonderful, three beautiful dogs,  I'm a teacher, and I'm a runner. Life is good.

Intervals .56 warm up followed by 6 reps of 30 secs of speed and 2 min recovery. Which was roughly 335 feet of speed and .18 miles of recovery

Intervals pace 1-8:42 2-7:57 3-7:53  4-7:49  5-7:52    6-7:52 7-8:14

1 mile cool down

.71 mile dog walk (had to shorten it b/c of other dog walkers

I think the intervals are good for my it band. Mostly b/c it is short spurts (for now) and then I relax for a few minutes. Before I was doing tempo runs and I think that was too much to start with and then ended in overuse. Atleast that is my thought.
