Going to the doc today.

pm edit--weights part of Shred level 1

Went to doc. Basically I walk funny. That is the short of it. The long of it is that my ankle apparently doesn't go forward enough when I walk so that makes my foot compensate by twisting outward or inward (can't remember).

Since this guy isn't on my insurance I'm going to research to see if I can find exercises (of course he wouldn't tell me the exercises) that I can do. My podiatry appointment isn't till next tuesday. Sucks!

He says that explains my callus on the inside of my big toes. so really I don't feel like I"m any more educated on what is going on than I was this morning when I woke up.

I hope your doc visit goes well

SUCK, so sorry. What was your official diagnosis? Achilles tendonitis? Or something else. Running injuries are the worst. Why oh why do they keep plaguing us?

Not sure. But doesn't have to do with the achilles or PF or anything like that. From what I gather my heel area is just super tight b/c of the way I walk/run. 3 years of running and I guess now it has caught up with me? I'm going for another opinion from a podiatrist next friday.

That's a bummer. But hopefully he gave you enough information to find some exercises to tide you over until you see the doc next week!

Yeah sorry Tracy--I haven't been running so I didn't think it would be a good idea to meet up with you to watch you run. LOL

That's all right. I'm in Chicago a lot. Maybe next time I'm in (probably won't be till July) you'll be running, and if not, we can always meet up for food or drinks :)
