I got a call at 6:30 am to sub. I couldn't bare to do it. Just didn't want to.

I sat around for a bit and did 4 on the elliptical, abs and weights...I think I have a few more hours of laying around in me. Maybe some knitting.

I feel bad doing it during the day. Like there is so much I could be doing. I think I"m just decompressing and switching gears to my new schedule and new stuff I need to be doing!

We all need a kick back day now and then. I've got to keep myself from kicking back too much today.

My husband said that in his district they're having trouble getting subs lately. I guess a lot of teachers are taking days off.

If Colorado is anything like Illinois, teachers are probably taking days off like crazy because they are being RIFfed and aren't returning to their job next year.

Oh yeah there was a whole line of us subs in the office today. I was suppose to be in eigth but they changed me to 5th. It turned out fine and I know I would like teaching that grade but the teacher did not write enough plans for the 45 minute blocks. I mean helloo!!!That stunk.

I wish I could get into subbing in Illinois. I have to wait for my license. I hpe to get atleast one job in before the end of the year!

A bunch of teachers got non-renewed in my husband's district, but then the school board rejected all the non-renewals, so I don't know what's going to happen. His district, and in his school in particular, things are very bad and political and out of control.

Some third year teachers (could have been tenured) got unsatisfactory closing evals. I wonder how they are suppose to find a job. But I heard that if they got a good eval then they couldn't apply for unemployment. I"m not sure how true it is...seems shady though
