9 hours of sleep and 7 miles running can't be all bad.

From april27 on Sat, Jan 09, 2010 at 18:35:17 from 99.188.251.180

So I'm back...not really thinking too much more positively.

I wanted to 8...with out pain..and I did 7 with pain. And it was cold. I just could not keep warm etc. Right now I"m having a hissy fit saying I give up on running this week. I will just do the elliptical or some Jillian videos.

I'm just done with my knee at below 20 degree weather.

So, how was the run?

Not anybody can just up and run 7 miles when they choose. You're still fit! Hang in there it will get better. I want to quit during the first mile of almost every run.

You rock. I know you're frustrated, but you got out there and ran! I'm totally impressed.

You'll feel better about it tomorrow. But you should be proud--I don't know what time you ran, but at 11:00 here it was 3 degrees.

Did you try the tape?

From auntieem on Sat, Jan 09, 2010 at 19:33:46 from 24.17.177.218

Try duct tape if you can't find tape. It works just as well. So sorry the knee still hurts. Mine has been long (or at least seemed long to me) in healing, and I know it can be frustrating, especially when you don't really know what's going on.

From Smooth on Sat, Jan 09, 2010 at 23:56:45 from 174.23.217.47

Sorry about the knee. You still got out there and tough it out! Xtraining is probably a good idea at least until the weather co-operates with the knee. Hang in there! Wish I could help!

I did get some KT tape. I put it on like the video said to for an IT band issue. It started to peel off mid run. Ikept pulling up my pant leg to try to get it to stay but itkept peeling off. Not sure what I did wrong there. Aunt-maybe I will duct tape the KT tape to me!

I guess that was another reasong I thought I would run pain free..I had high hopes on the tape working!

Thank you all for your encouraging words!

Be sure to rub the tape right after you apply it. That's supposed to make it stick. But with that said, I did the ITB taping yesterday and had it peel off during the run too. I've taped other places that stuck better. Maybe that one's just tough to get to stick because of the constant movement of the knee.

From april27 on Sun, Jan 10, 2010 at 16:13:36 from 99.188.251.180

Are you having IT band trouble? Or did you tape just for me??? if so how sweet!it was the lower portions that were coming up. Not so much the above knee tails.

From Carolyn in Colorado on Sun, Jan 10, 2010 at 19:11:56 from 24.8.167.243

I've just been having a tiny twinge in my right ITB occasionally lately.
