5:00am run 20 degrees....no windchill

These runs seem hardly worth the effort of getting all bundled up. I keep repeating in my head--even low miles does a body/mind good. Stretching before the run helped. I didn't get any twinges till about 2.3 mark...and then I stopped and stretched. I felt it again about about mile 3...

I was just thinking that your miles look good this week! Low miles is fine--you'll build!

Another 5:00 am run. Good job!

I've been doing dynamic stretching before my runs and I think it's really helping.

It's always worth the effort no matter the distance.

April, they're just dynamic stretches from a book called "Brain Training for Runners" by Matt Fitzgerald. They are similar to the dynamic stretching exercises that are in the March issue of Runners World.

Carloyn-I googled it and got a youtube video. I found myself saying, "I do that" The problem is I don't do it enough!
