up at 6:30 a.m. Did some homework...well lots of homework. I finished my thematic unit. I think that was the last big project of the semester. I have a few smaller ones left. Just glad that was is off my back.

Didn't run till about 11am. I took the yellow dog. 48 degrees. I almost wore just my skirt but decided at the last minute to put on pants underneath. I"m glad I did. There was a slight wind that just stunk. The run kinda hurt, in a sore way. I was suppose to do 7 but when it started to rain a cold rain (and me without a jacket) i said screw it and just went home. I ran a little fast my average pace was 10:30. I should be at around 11.

Plan for the rest of the day is to encourage fiancee through more of the kitchen project (he has three more weeks to fnish it before we have family over for palm sunday). And I will knit and read this new book my mom let me borrow months ago called the Demon by Tosca Lee. I"m only in the first chapter but it is pretty good so far!

You've got a lot going on.

I almost wore my skirt also, but then I realized I don't have a skirt.

Nice recovery run.

JD-I'm glad to hear that you don't have a skirt! LOL

When's student teaching over? How's it going lately?

Good miles--I had a stinky run like that on Sunday too.

Tracy April 30th...I"m soooo ready for it to be over. I liked my teacher's anal retentive ways in the beginning but now it is just getting annoying. Not that I know it all...BUT she will interupt me while i'm saying directions just to say the same thing. and one time I said, "I was saying that" she said oh but you didn't...so I stopped arguing. And now she is taking what I say and flipping around and telling me supervisor stupid stuff but she makes it sound bad. and I have a headache almost every night. I just wnat my own classroom..and an older grade level.

That's when my student teacher is done. I'm getting to the point where I'm finally feeling comfortable leaving her alone in the classroom. When does your CT give you some breathing room?

From april27 on Wed, Mar 10, 2010 at 20:14:47 from 99.188.251.180

Tracy-Oh she leaves me to teach all the time. She is in and out of the classroom probably since week two. She is just always there in the morning before the kids get there

Today I stayed late while she was in the meeting and tried to get all the stuff I would need the computer for done today.

You are just now leaving her alone? Does she stink? LOL

From Tracy on Thu, Mar 11, 2010 at 07:44:13 from 173.23.75.96

She's doing all right, but the problem is that when she first came in February, my kids were working on a project, so she hadn't really observed me teach. She's been teaching, but I've been staying in the room.

She is only 1/2 mine, but she's been left alone more with the other teacher's classes.

Oh wow that is so different! I have been in my class since January. That has to be hard juggling a bunch of cooperating teachers! Is she doing all English?

I have heard some of the students that got middle school positions are doing two subjects in some instances (weird I know!)

From Tracy on Thu, Mar 11, 2010 at 08:04:22 from 173.23.75.96

Yeah. All English. It's complicated why she has two: ISU was desperate to place this girl at our school. I didn't want a student teacher. The other teacher did. The principal told the other teacher that she couldn't have one alone because she has only been teaching 3 years. He said we could split one. I still didn't want one, but I got pressure from the 3 above parties.

I like her and all, but student teachers are a lot of work, unless you're like my CT when I did my student teaching: the kind who just hands you a book and then walks out. And that just ain't my style. I'm a nurturer, baby.

oh yeah I remember you telling me that. Did the three year teacher thing having a student teacher was goign ot be easy? That is weird. I don't think I would want one till I was atleast over the 5 year hump!
