5am elliptical.

I can't fit into my jeans...grrr...sooo that stinks a lot. and I know why...my eating meals time has changed in the last month and the quantity of food has not changed. I use to eat at 3pm for dinner and go to work. Now I eat at 6 and pretty much sit on my butt and do homework. The only real physical activity i partake in is running. Teaching is not a physical job. It is mentally exhausting. So I'm trying to think of other things I can do at night to get my heart moving...I wish there were mountains around here. I would take up skiiing! LOL

I just ate breakfast and hour ago and I"m hungry again. I hate my stomach! I need to trick it some how! LOL

I thought I was going to do an everyother day of running and elliptical. Due to weather conditions (12 inches of snow in the next 24 hours) I think I will stay inside and ellip. My IT Band doesn't feel yuck on the ellip. I'm stretching and doing strength exercises.

You know what I'm going to say, right? I swear I'm not trying to be obnoxious and I truly care about you. S-U-G-A-R. And cereal, bread, etc. are *all* sugar when they hit your bloodstream. OK. I'll shut up now. Take care. :)

nah I thought you would mention TMS...ahahhaha...

You would be proud of me I have been eating oatmael for breakfast. I"m just going to finish my box of cherrios and no more cereal. And cherrios is it really bad for you? I sweart I read the label and thought I was doing okay. I don't eat the other sugary stuff.

and for my actual meals I do really well. with veggies fruits protein etc...it is between meals that messes me up! and yes I know sugars...but i'm down to one can of soda a day...I am making progress.

I couldn't run 13 miles the first day I started running, I can't be a good eater the first day I decide to eat well. I hope that makes sense...hmmm

what sort of things do you eat for snacks?

I'll stay out of the diet discussion, but will say that maybe the snow is a blessing in disguise for your ITB. Maybe a few days of the elliptical is what it needs.

LOL...I was just coming back on here to say sorry for the long list of excuses. I really just need to do it. But I haven't made it a priority...and then I want to complain about feeling blah and not fitting into jeans.

REally I just need to shut up and do it...like nike...LOL

Carolyn--are you a good eater or a horrible eater? I would say I"m mediocre...I"m not eating fast food everynight and cupcakes...my snacks in between meals need to be better...baby steps...

From Snoqualmie on Tue, Feb 09, 2010 at 20:30:40 from 24.18.192.33

Hope I didn't sound like nagging. I know you have come a LONG way with your diet, so bravo for that!

I don't do well with snacking. It's just a personal preference, but I feel like I get on an insulin roller coaster when I do the "5-6 small meals a day" thing.

Sno--not at all...actually I was hoping I wasn't sounding whiney.

I have a friend who wants to lose weight...but doesn't exercise. I was feeling like her. I find it frustrating to talk to her about it with all of her excuses.

I need friends like you to smack me over the head with stuff I already know but don't want to acknowledge b/c I"m being lazy or just not making it a priority. Lord knows i have the healthy food in my house that I could choose to eat. But I choose to eat the crap (SO is not on board with the healthy food so we still have the sugar stuff for snacks)

From Tracy on Tue, Feb 09, 2010 at 21:57:47 from 173.23.75.96

One way to get only good food and snacks in the house, April, is just do the grocery shopping yourself. Whenever Chuck goes to the store, he comes back with always a little bit of junk food...just enough to entice me when I'm looking for something to snack on.

I try to keep lots of fruit and veggies on hand. And I know Sno won't like this one since it's bread, but I recently found these 70 calorie bagels--I eat one usually as a snack right after school and before running.

But I shouldn't be preaching. I'm a mediocre eater myself. If there is any candy around, I will eat it. Period. That's why I don't buy it. But I won't go so far as to ban it from the house :)

And you gotta kick that soda habit! Bring a bottle of water with you wherever you go! Whenever I drink an occasional soda (which I did this past weekend for no good reason), I instantly bloat.

I would totally hear it for the entire week if I didn't buy him his hostess cupcakes! LOL

But I don't realy eat those. I'm more into chips and candy...and my cooperating teacher keeps candy in her drawer. I stopped buying candy weeks ago.

Oh and I always have water on me. Always.

I think i'm just goign to have to be happy with being mediocre for right now. One day when i'm ready I will do better..
