PR my 5k time. But maybe for now I should shoot for under 30 minutes.

I ran this one with a friend so I didn't really race it. It was cold wet and windy. Good times. Feels like 38. Kinda reminded me of my first 1/2.  Her daugther and husband also ran it.

My hubby waited for me at the finish line. He is so sweet. Happy Sunday.

 

Earlier I did my strength routine and walked the dogs 1.25 miles in the rain.

Intervals .56 warm up followed by 6 reps of 30 secs of speed and 2 min recovery. Which was roughly 335 feet of speed and .18 miles of recovery

.71 mile dog walk (had to shorten it b/c of other dog walkers

I was going to do another round BUT decided to change some stuff

30 sec plank dogs kept knocking me over the the side ones so I won't even count them.

OUCH!

So last night my left shoulder was hurting. It still hurts even through the night. It is not an I hurt it hurt maybe over did it.

On todays run my heel hurt. And it hurt more and more on my run. I cut it slightly short. I thought maybe walking would help but I ended up cutting the dog walk short too.

We are dog sitting so now I had 4 dogs on my walk. Eventually that went well but I think I may split them and do two walks. That is if my heel stops hurting.

I rolled out my back and my legs. Heel is still troublesome. I want to run tomorrow (first 5 day week in a while) .

waah norunning or walking. I'm gonna try walking in the afternoon. I hope. I got to grocery shop first. I'm wearing flip flops today so I"m hoping that will help.

 And why is it when you are hurt people ask "What is wrong?" "Oh my foot hurts" "Is it from running?" and maybe it is just me but they all just look for reasons to not run and me being hurt is perfect. So I just laughed it off and the girl this morning no I"m serious I want to know.

 

I was talking over my injury with my brother and he said that maybe I was running my intervals too fast and that is why my foot hurts. He said, "April if you are running your easy runs at 11 min you can't do your intervals at 8:30" I"m like but I thought I was suppose to go all out for those 30 seconds. I'm such a nube when it comes to speed training. So I guess my intervals will now be 10 min ones as soon as my foot feels better. I hope to run tomorrow then I could still get in 5 days!
