Feeling kinda blah the last two weeks so I went out like a newbie today. I left the garmin, left the inserts (bad idea-had some twinges), and just ran.

walked the doggies this morning.

Played in the backyard with them after the run.

Feeling much better and not so blah.

7am start, 30 degrees, the wind made me make wardrobe changes anytime I turned. Gloves on, gloves off, repeat. Jacket on, Jacket off, repeat. Annoying!

Today I pretended to be a trail runner and brought real food with me. The gu and the shocblocs don't seem to do much for me. But I brought a couple squares that I had leftover from last weekend. I brought a banana and ate it after about an hour of running. I brought almonds and had some of those about 90 minutes after running and I think again after 2 hours. I brought watered down powerade and a water bottle.

I ate 2 eggs at 6 am.

I'm tired but I have had worse runs. And I didn't feel ridiculously hungry. Which usually makes me want to stop running. I did make a few stops to stretch eat, stretch and eat.

I ran through Lake in the Hills and lots of other hilly areas. I planned on doing two loops of 7. But my friends that was going to meet up with me after the second group had her gma die last night so I just wandered my neighborhood. I seriously ran out of streets to run on. I shall have to plan better next time.

nike arm sculpt ipad app is awesome and I walked the doggies.

I'm reevaluating marathon plans. I'm not injured. It just takes up too much of my weekend. Please don't tell me to run it anyway. I'm incredibly impressionable and I hate letting people down.

nike arms and abs. Arms was brutal. I was sore still from monday. I think I only did two reps instead of 3.

Break time is over!

-7 degrees with the windchill. 7 degrees regular temperature. 12 mph winds. AP 10:32

I was going to do 3 but I figured hey I put on all these clothes for a reason! Plus it really isn't going to get much warmer today. I dressed adequately. I was glad I put on the extra layers when I ran into the wind but out of the wind I was pretty comfy.

I ran 4 and a dog walk. 20 degrees AP 9:50 :)

10:06 (this made me happy), 9:30 (ooh that was too easy) 8:55 (Okay that was good) 10:48 (rest)

Successful speed work out complete :)

Also I would like to petition for my work day to start at 9 instead of 8. This way I could wake up at 7 which is my optimal time for waking up. Even on the weekends that is around the time I roll out of bed. The sun is out and life is good.

today I have off due to Presidents day :)
