Muah...no pain...tee hee..very hot...Okay I had a side stitch..I think it is water related...but no sign of the ITB

update: FRB isn't letting me respond to posts or send post so I am not ignoring you!

Tracy--yes next saturday. I'm thinking about going for a 10 miler on Saturday since I haven't really ran long since my 1/2 at the beginning of the month. I hope it isn't too hot next week!

Rat-from yesterdays post I was on the ellip for those 4 miles...but today I went over 3 with no pain! Yeah!

Excellent! Aren't you doing a 1/2 here pretty soon?

Yeah for no ITB pain.

What do mean that FRB isn't letting you respond to posts. Do you get an error? (I suppose it's kind of silly to ask a question if you can't respond to it.)

Have you tried slowing down your warmup, for that side stitch? (I have some information about that on my post today.) Slower warmup for the diaphragm might help. :)

Also try timing your breathing so you exhale when the foot opposite the sidestitch strikes the ground. I have an article somewhere about the mechanics of this technique. I think I've posted it before but I'll try to find it again.

Rat I will try that.

Sno--but it starts at like mile 3 of my run? isn't that weird?

Carolyn-i dunno it was doing some weird flashy thing when I got to this screen. and wouldn't let me click anywhere.

Tracy-next saturday!

No, it's not weird at all. Rush the warmup, pay *later* with side stitch. That's been my experience.
